A lesson where people hear a thought and disagree, but only express silence. And the silence works as approval, when maybe it shouldn't.

The same lesson we see unfolding in 2008 with Senator Obama and his former pastor. How often have any of us allowed our silence to be misinterpreted as agreement. Too many--black, white, brown, gay, straight, religious, atheist, or whatever other dimension of diversity one might determine is appropriate.
