It is going to be harder and harder to “go on location.”

It’s getting creepy to think what can be manipulated with technology. For me, it’s not a shock to think that what I see on screen may not be (and most probably isn’t) real. It is all illusion after all. But I play this in my head all the time and always come back to the matter of media literacy, or just plain old critical thinking. This makes taking things at face value even more dangerous than before. But at the same time, I can’t help but feel we all leave one cave to go into another one that just seems brighter than the one before, for the time being. Truth and Reality, like our assigned book, The Elements of Journalism states, truly is a protean thing.
All I can say is I’m glad I’m not a film grad student.
