They MUST have been there, because the authoritative “Beatles Bible” states:
“The support acts for the concert were The Remains, Bobby Hebb, The Cyrkle and The Ronettes. The Beatles performed a set consisted of 11 songs: Rock And Roll Music, She’s A Woman, If I Needed Someone, Day Tripper, Baby’s In Black, I Feel Fine, Yesterday, I Wanna Be Your Man, Nowhere Man, Paperback Writer and Long Tall Sally.”
Here’s the problem: I vividly recall the songs AND Cyrkle and Bobby Hebb, but have no memory of either The Remains or The Ronettes. This is strange because, although The Remains were not well known in LA, I was and am a big Ronettes fan. It’s hard to imagine I wouldn’t remember seeing them, especially since I grew up regretting I was never able to see them.
I would have sworn I was there that night, but Im going to go into the attic and look at my ticket stub.
Did the Remains open for them?
